Life in a typical village like Breamore can be relived in the Breamore Countryside Museum which provides a fascinating insight into the days when a village was self-sufficient.
Visitors can see full size replicas of a farm worker’s cottage before the advent of electricity, a blacksmith’s shop, a dairy, wheelwright’s shop, a brewery, a saddler’s shop and cobbler’s shed.
The village shop, school, cooperage, bakers, laundry and early garage represent recent developments.
The Great British Maze was designed by Ian Leitch following a Sunday Times Magazine’s
competition and was built in 1983. It draws young and old alike as it offers both
a diverting walk and food for thought!
The addition of an adventure playground to complement the Great British Maze has
greatly added to the younger generation’s enjoyment.
There is also a gift shop selling a wide variety of toys and souvenirs.
